EJ Cooperman TONIGHT

THE MOONSTONE MYSTERY BOOK STORE Hosts E. J. COPPERMAN APRIL 12 -- 7 PM E. J. Copperman is the nom de plume of an old friend of The Moonstone Mystery Book Store, Jeff Cohen. He assumed the name two years ago for a new mystery series about a Haunted Guesthouse in a fictional town at the Jersey Shore, but he retained his trademark humor and ability to create characters as real as your neighbors and friends. Jeff is the author of two previous mystery series, the Aaron Tucker mysteries (For Whom the Minivan Rolls, A Farewell to Legs and As Dog is My Witness) and the Double Feature Mystery series, about Elliot Freed and his all-comedy movie theater (Some Like It Hot Buttered, It Happened One Knife and A Night at the Operation). As a Rutgers graduate and a New Jersey resident, Jeff has intimate knowledge of our beloved state and is able to write about its unique characteristics and characters with affection and the appropriate amount of Jersey attitude. Jeff has been a newspaper reporter, teacher, magazine editor and screenwriter. In addition to writing his novels, he is currently a graduate student and is teaching screenwriting at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Jeff will be discussing not only his recently released book in the Haunted Guesthouse series, Old Haunts, but the use of humor, dialogue and characterization in writing novels. Please join him on April 12 at 7 PM.
